Welcome to the Methods Workshops Site!
Methods Workshops was created to fulfill a need that I had and hoped others shared. As a perpetual student I was dedicated to attending various workshops around the world. I would spend a weekend in New York, a week in Florida and two weeks in London, etc. So, I finally said to a friend "Why can't three master teachers of the same discipline come together in one place for a week?" He suggested they could and I should organize it. Hence, the first methods workshop was born.
The goal of the workshops is to allow the participants the opportunity to taste three different methods of one discipline, such as voice, speech, Shakespeare, movement, etc., in a one week forum. I also wanted the added benefit of having all three master teachers together for a talk back session at the end. This gives the participants one more opportunity to clarify or expand upon what they have explored with all three masters during the week.
Another aspect of the workshop is the host. Having the workshop in different locations every year or every other year gives participants in different areas the opportunity to attend. Or for returning participants to experience a new area since we leave the evenings free for exploration and material absorption.
