Education and Training:
M.F.A. in Theater Education from Boston University; B.F.A. from Massachusetts College of Art and The Boston Museum School; Certified in Authentic Movement Facilitation from The Center for the Study of Authentic Movement under the direction of Zoe Avstreih (New York), and advanced training with Janet Adler; Certified & Recommended Teacher of Action Theater™. A former modern dancer and active in the Post-Judson Church dance movement - studied Improvisation and Contact Improvisation with Daniel Lepkoff, Andrew Harwood, Nancy Stark Smith and Lisa Nelson, among others. Additional training in Release Technique, Hatha and Iyengar Yoga, Body Mind Centering, Laban, Alexander Technique, Linklater Voice (Christopher Von Bauer, Paula Langton, Natsuko Ohama, Walton Wilson) and Acting (Shakespeare & Co., Boston University).

Over twenty years training actors in universities, professional theaters and acting programs. Currently an Associate Professor and Head of Movement Training at Emerson College in Boston. Previously on the faculty in the graduate and undergraduate acting programs at Brandeis University; in the Graduate Performance Program at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Ten years teaching in the Professional Actor Training Programs at Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, MA; teacher & Co-Director, Sedona Shakespeare Institute in Arizona. Adjunct faculty/visiting artist/master classes and workshops including Boston University, Boston Conservatory, Boston College, Syracuse University, James Madison University, Brown University Summer Theater Program, Suffolk University, Massachusetts College of Art, Harvard University Arts & Learning from Performers Program, ATHE Conference, Carter Thor Acting Studio, Commonwealth Shakespeare Co., Actor’s Shakespeare Project Educational Programs, the Linklater Voice Studio, NYC.

Performance Work
Professionally involved in experimental and traditional theater for over two decades. A former member of Mobius Artists Group (Boston, MA), collaborated with experimental theater, dance, media and performance artists from the U.S., Asia and Europe. Collaborative and solo physical theater work has been produced throughout New England at venues such as the Institute of Contemporary Art, Mobius, Performance Place, DeCordova Museum, Massachusetts College of Art, Midway Theater, Boston Playwright’s Theater, and at Austen Art Center in Hartford, CT, and Lincoln Center Festival in New York City. She performs regularly with the East Coast and International Action Theater Ensembles, and has been performing with Susan Dibble Dance Theatre since 1988, including performances in ten seasons at Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, MA. In 2008 participated in an international theater collaboration The Gift with the Mercury Theater in the U.K.

Other Professional Activity
Choreographer & Movement Director on over thirty professional and university theater productions including Season Company Member and Resident Choreographer/ Movement Director at Actor’s Shakespeare Project in Boston (2007 – 2008), Resident Choreographer/Movement Director at the Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Co. (1999-2003). Directed and Co-Directed productions for Sun Valley Shakespeare Festival, The Los Angeles Women’s Shakespeare Co., Shakespeare Sedona, M.I.T. Shakespeare Ensemble.
